A tragic incident in Colombia claimed the lives of renowned singer Yeison Jimenez and five others as their plane crashed and caught fire. The group was en route to a concert when the light aircraft went down shortly after departing from Paipa Airport in Colombia’s Tundama Province. The victims included the pilot, co-pilot, and four passengers, including Jimenez, who was 34 years old and a well-traveled musician. Prior to the flight, Jimenez shared a poignant message on Instagram expressing humility and acceptance of life’s uncertainties. His photographer, Weisman Mora, who shared a final video of them on the plane, also perished in the crash.
The aircraft was bound for Medellin, where Jimenez was scheduled to perform, but tragically crashed near Marinilla. Additional victims of the crash were identified as pilot Hernando Torres, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Oscar Marin, and Jefferson Osorio. The plane involved belonged to Jimenez’s company, YJ Company SAS. Heartbroken by the loss, Jimenez’s daughter, Camila, shared her grief on social media, expressing love and longing for her father.
