The victim, identified as Michael Ryan Burke, a 42-year-old U.S. Marine veteran, contacted emergency services and his family in his final moments before succumbing to his injuries.
The deadly robbery occurred around 8:15pm local time in Columbia, Missouri, prompting a swift response from the police who found Michael critically wounded inside his home. Despite his condition, Burke managed to provide a description of the assailants to authorities.
Subsequently, law enforcement arrested three 18-year-olds and one juvenile male in connection with the murder of Burke. The suspects, identified as Kobe Aust, Joseph Crane, Alexis Baumann, and a male juvenile, are facing charges including second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and first-degree burglary. They are currently detained without bond.
