“Claim £150 Warm Home Discount Before Deadline!”

Business"Claim £150 Warm Home Discount Before Deadline!"

Act now to claim the £150 Warm Home Discount before the deadline expires. While many have already received this assistance automatically, there are a few days left to apply for it.

The Warm Home Discount provides a £150 reduction on your electricity bill, credited directly to your energy account or issued as vouchers for prepayment customers. To qualify, you must have been receiving specific benefits on August 24.

Residents in England or Wales automatically receive the Warm Home Discount if eligible. In Scotland, only those receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit will automatically receive the payment. Others must apply manually through their energy supplier. Unfortunately, the scheme is not available in Northern Ireland.

If you believe you qualify but have not received the benefit, contact the Warm Home Discount scheme by February 28 at 0800 030 9322 or by mail at Warm Home Discount Scheme, PO Box 970, Preston, PR2 0FX.

The deadline is approaching, so it is advisable to call to ensure your query is addressed before the cutoff date. Additionally, as energy bills are expected to decrease this spring, Ofgem will announce a new price cap on February 25, effective from April 1 to June 30 for standard variable rate tariffs.

While there is no total cap on energy costs, the Ofgem price cap limits charges for gas and electricity units along with fixed standing charges. This figure represents the expected annual payment for typical energy consumption.
