Physician recounts chilling encounter aiding man shot by ICE: Witness contradicts self-defense claim

NationalPhysician recounts chilling encounter aiding man shot by ICE: Witness contradicts self-defense claim

A physician has recounted a chilling encounter when he tried to assist Alex Pretti after he was shot by an ICE agent and detailed the actions of the shooter afterward.

Alex Pretti tragically lost his life in Minneapolis on January 24 during protests against ICE agents and the Trump administration’s stance on illegal immigration.

The doctor alleged that instead of providing immediate aid, federal agents proceeded to “count his bullet wounds.” The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) asserted that the agents fired in self-defense as Pretti was reportedly armed during the incident.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara mentioned that Pretti, an ICU nurse, was legally armed with a permit. However, there is no evidence suggesting he posed a threat to officers during the protest.

An eyewitness, identified as a physician in court documents, contradicted DHS claims by stating that Pretti did not display a weapon or attack the agents. The witness described seeing ICE agents confront Pretti and subsequently fire multiple shots at him.

The witness mentioned attempting to treat Pretti’s injuries while the agents seemed focused on counting his wounds rather than providing aid as standard protocol dictates.

Alex is fondly remembered as a compassionate individual who courageously protected others before being fatally shot by an ICE agent. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots as onlookers watched in shock. Allegations suggest that ICE agents did not attempt to revive Pretti after the shooting.
