“Sky TV Merges Cinema Channels: Movie Lineup Revamp”

Tech"Sky TV Merges Cinema Channels: Movie Lineup Revamp"

Sky TV customers who enjoy watching movies will notice a significant change in the TV planner starting April 30. The telecommunications and TV company has announced a revamp of its Cinema channel lineup by merging two existing services into one.

Previously, Sky Cinema Animation on channel 312 has been shut down and integrated into Sky Cinema Family on channel 304. This move aims to simplify things by consolidating all family-friendly films in one place.

Despite the channel merger, viewers are not losing any content; instead, it is being combined. Popular movies such as Shrek, The Secret Life of Pets, Smurfs, How to Train Your Dragon, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Wicked will still be available on the unified channel.

Sky has assured its customers that all the content from Sky Cinema Animation will continue to be accessible through Sky Cinema Family. Additionally, for those who enjoyed films on Sky Cinema Animation, the channel will make a temporary return during school holidays, running from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5.

This means that children will have the channel back to keep them entertained during school breaks.
