In the aftermath of Renee Good’s fatal shooting by an ICE officer in Minneapolis, Trump insinuated that those protesting his anti-immigration enforcement team were likely insincere and rehearsed. He specifically mentioned a woman in a video following the tragic incident, accusing her of staging the display of disapproval towards the agent responsible.
During a speech at the Detroit Economic Club, Trump asserted that the protests were contrived, alleging that participants coordinated their actions by practicing in hotel rooms. He also indicated an intention to uncover the financial backers behind the demonstrations.
In a racially charged attack directed at Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Trump suggested that politicians involved in fraudulent schemes would face imprisonment. Despite lacking evidence linking Omar to any wrongdoing, Trump ridiculed her background and made derogatory remarks about her character.
Furthermore, Trump implied revoking US citizenship for individuals from Somalia convicted of fraud, a move that contradicts established legal procedures. He also expressed a desire to expel Somalis from the country, framing it as a return to America’s purported original values.
