The US President arrived in Zurich slightly behind schedule due to a minor electrical issue on Air Force One. In his address, he expressed his pleasure to be back among familiar faces and even a few adversaries, stating his concern that Europe is not progressing in the right direction.

During his speech, Trump mentioned his interest in negotiating for the acquisition of Greenland, although he mistakenly mentioned Iceland instead. He also warned of potential tariffs on European countries opposing his Greenland takeover plans.

After a speech and Q&A session lasting over an hour, Trump reiterated his intention for negotiations over Greenland without resorting to force. He also defended ICE’s actions in Minnesota, emphasizing their focus on removing criminal elements.

Trump is set to have discussions with Ukraine’s President Zelensky later in the day, highlighting his administration’s efforts to combat crime and secure the US borders. He also addressed issues related to drug pricing and trade relationships with European nations.

Throughout his speech, Trump underscored his determination to acquire Greenland for strategic and security reasons, emphasizing the importance of US ownership for defense purposes. He highlighted the need for NATO to adapt and enhance its capabilities to strengthen the alliance.

Despite facing challenges and criticisms, Trump remained resolute in his stance on Greenland and his vision for the United States’ role in global affairs.
