NationalTeens Injured in Cliff Fall at Berowra Valley Park

Two teenagers were quickly taken to the hospital after they fell from a cliff at a national park. Emergency responders arrived at Berowra Valley National Park in Cherrybrook around 5:15 pm on Friday, January 30th, after the teens reported injuries from the fall.

A 17-year-old boy sustained multiple injuries from the incident, while a 16-year-old girl was attended to by NSW Ambulance paramedics following her fall over the cliff edge.

Authorities from the South Wales Police have initiated an operation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. A police spokesperson mentioned that the ongoing operation follows the injuries sustained by the two teens who fell 10 meters over a cliff in Sydney’s north-west. The 17-year-old boy, in critical condition, is being stabilized by a medical team brought to the scene by a TOLL helicopter. Once stabilized, he is expected to be transported by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The 16-year-old girl, in stable condition, was also treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and carried on foot to the top of the cliff before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

Additionally, a 47-year-old woman received treatment at the scene for shock. The Hills Police Area Command officers are supporting paramedics, along with members of the Rural Fire Service, as the operation continues.
