Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the recent announcement of a price hike. The majority of customers will face a £1.50 per month raise, translating to an annual increment of £18, with some individuals seeing varying adjustments to their bills.
The revised charges will be implemented on February 14, 2026, marking the first alteration for customers under contract by Sky Mobile in more than seven years. Customers who are dissatisfied with the price surge and are within the minimum contract period have the option to terminate their package without incurring an early termination fee.
Notably, the price of the Sky Mobile social tariff, designed for those with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. The adjustment in prices is attributed to escalating wholesale network expenses, and affected customers will receive notifications starting today regarding the upcoming billing modifications.
A spokesperson from Sky Mobile explained, “In order to maintain the high level of service and value our customers expect, most Sky Mobile users will witness a £1.50 increase in their monthly bills starting February. This decision was made after careful consideration, as we have refrained from raising mobile prices mid-contract for over seven years.”
The spokesperson further mentioned, “This alteration reflects the ongoing industry-wide cost pressures while enabling us to continue investing in our network and enhancing customer experience.” This development comes in the wake of O2’s announcement that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers will face a £2.50 per month escalation from April 2026, surpassing the initially planned raise of £1.80 per month.
Additionally, Three mobile customers opting for data plans with 4GB or less from November 9 will encounter a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, representing an 80p increment from the current £1 rise. Subscribers with plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will observe a £1.90 elevation, while those with over 100GB will experience a £2.30 monthly surge.
Furthermore, Three broadband consumers should anticipate a £3.50 monthly upsurge from April 2026. Vodafone mobile customers who secure deals from November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increment, or £1.50 for Basics SIM plans. Vodafone broadband users, on the other hand, will face a £3.50 monthly escalation.
For existing Vodafone or Three broadband and mobile contract holders, the price adjustment will adhere to the initially agreed-upon terms.
