The NBC “Today” show host disclosed on Wednesday, February 4, that her family is eager to engage with the individuals holding their mother, mentioning a ransom letter that has been discussed in various media outlets.
“We are prepared to engage. However, we exist in a world where voices and visuals can be easily altered,” Guthrie expressed. “We require absolute assurance that she is alive and in your custody. We are willing to communicate with you. Please reach out to us.”
In an emotional address, Savannah and her sister Annie directly addressed their 84-year-old mother. “Mommy, if you can hear this, you are a resilient woman. You are God’s beloved daughter, Nancy. We have faith and certainty that even in this challenging time, He is with you. Everyone is searching for you, Mommy. Everywhere. We will not cease. Your children will not rest until we are reunited,” Savannah tearfully conveyed.
“Mama, mama, if you’re listening, we need you to return home. We miss you,” added Annie.
Authorities are diligently piecing together the events before and immediately after Nancy’s disappearance. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos expressed doubts about a trend of elderly abductions, affirming that Nancy was likely taken from her residence against her will.
As the inquiry progresses, law enforcement is interviewing anyone who had contact with Nancy over the weekend, though no suspects or persons of interest have been identified. The residence where she lived alone has been returned to the family.
