Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors had put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 aimed at enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as stated in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.
The investors claim they were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives failed to meet their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
According to the lawsuit, Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to her responsibilities but did not follow through. The investors assert that the company did not live up to its obligations, including timely payment to employees and vendors, casting doubt on the legitimacy and profitability of the venture.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not responded to requests for comments. The lawsuit reveals that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report highlighted them in September 2025. The plaintiffs are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred.
