“Halle Berry Denies Allegations of Physically Harming Son”

Halle Berry refutes claims made by her former husband, Olivier Martinez, alleging that she physically harmed their 13-year-old son, Maceo. The ex-couple is approaching an upcoming court date on Oct. 16 concerning custody and a restraining order.

Martinez has requested full legal and physical custody of Maceo, along with a restraining order against Berry, citing an incident on Sept. 26 where he claims she was aggressive towards their son and mentioning a pattern of abuse. Court documents obtained by CBC News reveal these allegations.

On Oct. 1, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted a temporary restraining order, limiting Berry’s time with Maceo and mandating her to stay away from Martinez until the hearing. However, the judge dismissed Martinez’s plea for monitoring Berry’s sobriety due to insufficient evidence.

Berry has vehemently denied the accusations, labeling them as “completely untrue” and asserting that she never mistreated Maceo in any way. She explained the Sept. 26 incident as playful behavior that escalated into an argument and is seeking a return to their previous 50-50 custody agreement.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2013 and had Maceo the same year, finalized their divorce in 2023 with a shared custody arrangement.

In a legal battle update:
– On Oct. 1, Martinez sought a restraining order and full custody, alleging Berry physically harmed Maceo.
– On Oct. 3, Berry’s daughter Nahla defended her mother against the claims.
– On Oct. 4, Berry contested Martinez’s allegations, citing past court order violations.
– On Oct. 5, Berry gave her version of events, denying the allegations and recounting the Sept. 26 incident.

The court will reconvene on Oct. 16 to review the situation and determine the continuation of the temporary restrictions.
