He emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation, advising the public to refrain from speculating and allowing the authorities to establish the facts. Those arrested are currently in custody, with inquiries being swiftly conducted.

Following the morning collisions, three suspects have been apprehended. A 23-year-old man from Canvey was arrested on suspicion of various offenses including dangerous driving causing serious injury and driving under the influence. One paramedic and one police officer sustained severe injuries and are currently hospitalized. The remaining injured personnel, including three police officers and two paramedics, were hit by a van during the incidents.
