Blood droplets have been discovered in the search for the elderly mother of a television host. Law enforcement in Tucson, Arizona, found the blood at the woman’s residence, although the source remains unidentified. The authorities are treating the disappearance as a criminal case, but no arrests have been made yet.
The blood was located on the front steps of the grandmother’s house, where her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, hosts the Today show. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos mentioned that the investigation team processed the scene for evidence like blood, DNA, and fingerprints, which were collected and sent to a lab for analysis.
Sheriff Nanos explained that the lab results have not provided conclusive evidence of the perpetrator. However, they are hopeful that DNA samples taken from the scene will aid in identifying the individual involved. Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on January 31 after being dropped off by a family member at her home.
After Nancy missed church service, her family became concerned, leading to a search of the property and a subsequent call to emergency services. Nancy’s car and phone were found at home, and it is noted that she requires daily medication for her well-being. The authorities are offering a reward for any information related to Nancy’s disappearance.
