“Glitches on Sky’s ITVX App Spark Frustration”

Tech"Glitches on Sky's ITVX App Spark Frustration"

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue affecting the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experiences started surfacing late last week. Users have been frustrated by episodes randomly skipping to the end, leading to abrupt cut-offs without any manual fast-forwarding.

Expressing their concerns on Sky’s forum page, one user named Dazzasky mentioned the problem of ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes, making it challenging to watch shows smoothly over the past few days. Another user, Dawn, also shared similar experiences of programs jumping to the end unexpectedly, especially at the start or after ad breaks.

The technical hiccups appear to be impacting users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains unclear if Sky Q is affected, most complaints are from users using broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.

Despite the lack of clarity on the root cause, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that the company is actively addressing it. Kev’s message on the forum indicated that Sky is collaborating with ITV to resolve the problem promptly and will update users once more information is available.

For now, users may have to endure the skipping problems, but a solution is hopefully in progress. Mirror Online will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as new developments emerge.
