“Teacher Admits Sexual Misconduct with 15-Year-Old”

National"Teacher Admits Sexual Misconduct with 15-Year-Old"

A teacher described as “obsessed” has confessed to engaging in sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old boy, reportedly exchanging around 25,000 text messages with him.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, a 45-year-old mother of two from New Jersey, has pleaded guilty to a single count of aggravated sexual assault, facing a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison.

According to a police inquiry, the teacher’s involvement with the teenager started in January 2024 and persisted until her arrest in June of the same year. Colleagues observed Havemann-Niedrach having lunch with the student daily, with one witness claiming to have witnessed her behaving flirtatiously by rubbing the boy’s back and neck.

The student’s sister also saw him in the teacher’s car before he disclosed the illicit relationship to his mother. Subsequent investigation revealed a trove of approximately 25,000 text messages, including photos and videos, exchanged between the teacher and the student.

Prosecutors indicated that the former educator, characterized on LinkedIn as a “passionate, results-driven, and sincere educator,” exhibited an “obsession” towards the victim. The student informed authorities that their encounters took place at the teacher’s residence and hotels.

The sentencing is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with the prosecution seeking a 12-year prison term and the revocation of her teaching credentials. Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Allison Havemann-Niedrach admitted to the sexual offenses against the teenage student, as disclosed by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.

During a recent hearing before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley, Allison Havemann-Niedrach, a resident of Jackson Township (Ocean County), pleaded guilty to first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.

An investigation conducted by the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and Freehold Borough Police Department revealed that Havemann-Niedrach’s criminal activities commenced in January 2024 and lasted for about six months before her arrest in June 2024. An indictment was issued in March 2025.

The sentencing is provisionally set for Thursday, May 7, 2026, with the State planning to pursue a 12-year prison sentence, the surrender of public office, relinquishment of the defendant’s teaching license, Parole Supervision for Life, and registration as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, with 85 percent of the sentence requiring completion under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act (NERA).
