A series of missile and drone attacks by Russia targeted Ukraine’s capital and nearby areas, causing injuries to at least 16 individuals overnight and into Thursday morning, as per local authorities. The Kyiv City Military Administration disclosed that over 10 locations were hit, with a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy among the wounded, as stated in a Telegram message.

Ukraine’s Air Force announced that it had taken down or neutralized 131 Russian aerial targets during the assault. The primary regions under attack were Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa, with strikes registered at 36 locations and remnants of intercepted targets falling at five sites.

The offensive involved ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as 157 drones and decoys, according to official reports. Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that the strikes targeted metallurgical and electronics plants, military-industrial complex facilities, as well as energy and transport sites in the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions.

In Odesa, seven people, including two children, sustained injuries, with damage reported to apartments in a residential building. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the destruction of a private residence, alongside harm to warehouses, a kindergarten, vehicles, and garages in various locations.

In Kyiv, damages were observed in the Dniprovsky and Solomyansky districts, with reports of affected warehouses, office buildings, residential structures, and vehicles. Additionally, the Podilsky district reported damage to a non-residential building’s roof.

Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration, mentioned that civilian areas and infrastructure in the Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, and Bucha districts of the Kyiv region were targeted. A total of 33 sites suffered damages, with Brovary district being the most severely affected, as 14 locations were hit, and Fastiv district followed with 10 damaged sites. The impacted areas included private residences, warehouses, production facilities, and vehicles, with no reported casualties or injuries.
