Woman Discovers Unintentional Marriage to Brother

InternationalWoman Discovers Unintentional Marriage to Brother

A woman who had been searching for her missing mother was shocked to discover that she had unintentionally married her own brother. Adriana and her husband, Leandro, both from Brazil, had been together for nearly 19 years and had a daughter. They had been trying to find their mothers, both named Maria, who had abandoned them when they were infants.

Adriana, who worked in cosmetics sales, had not seen her mother since she was one year old and was raised by her father. Leandro, a lorry driver, was raised by his stepmother after his mother left when he was eight. Adriana left their hometown to work as a housemaid, got married, and had three children, while Leandro stayed in Sao Paulo.

The couple met over two decades ago after Adriana’s marriage ended, and they fell in love and started living together. In 2014, Adriana sought help from a local radio station to find her mother. During the radio program, it was revealed that Adriana’s mother also had a son named Leandro.

Upon learning that her husband was also her brother, Adriana expressed disbelief and fear but stated her love for him. They experienced Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), a phenomenon that occurs when adults who were separated during crucial bonding years reunite later in life.

Adriana and Leandro, who were not legally married, decided to stay together despite the shocking revelation. They expressed their commitment to each other, stating that only death would part them. The couple did not blame their mother for leaving them and planned to meet her soon.
