National"Trump Issues Ultimatum to Iran: Negotiate Now or Face Severe Consequences"

Former President Donald Trump has issued a new warning to Iran, urging the government to engage in negotiations or face consequences worse than previous strikes on its nuclear facilities. Trump announced on Truth Social that a significant naval force is en route to Iran, emphasizing its strength and readiness. This statement follows Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi’s declaration that Tehran had not sought talks with the US and demanded an end to war threats for diplomatic discussions to proceed.

As the USS Abraham Lincoln positions itself in the Middle East, Trump presents a fresh ultimatum to Iran. He highlights the fleet’s capabilities, comparing it to the one deployed to Venezuela and emphasizing its readiness for swift action if required. Trump stresses the importance of Iran coming to the table for negotiations on a nuclear-free agreement beneficial to all parties.

Failure to reach a deal, Trump warns, will result in a more severe attack than Operation Midnight Hammer, which targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities in the past. The President had previously notified Congress of the strikes in June 2025, citing the protection of US national interests and supporting Israel as reasons for the operation.

In a direct message to Iran, Trump emphasizes the urgency of making a deal to prevent further escalation. He points to the past military actions against Iran and urges swift diplomatic engagement. Originally focused on supporting anti-regime protesters, Trump’s stance has evolved to prioritize a comprehensive agreement with Iran’s leadership.

Amid concerns of a potential US military strike on Iran, Iranian officials have engaged with neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, who have indicated they will not permit their airspace for an attack. Araghchi underscores the necessity of diplomacy over military threats for productive negotiations, emphasizing respect and mutual benefit as fundamental principles.

According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, the unrest in Iran has resulted in significant casualties and arrests, with thousands killed, including protesters, government forces, children, and civilians. The agency also reports a high number of arrests in connection with the protests.
