Bargain seeker Jordon Cox shared a method to uncover a “hidden code” signaling the imminent expiration of deals at Tesco. Jordon, known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media platforms.
In a recent video, he highlighted that items under the Clubcard Price promotion feature a six-digit number indicating the offer’s expiry date. By decoding the number in reverse order, the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year of expiration.
Tesco is reminding customers to utilize £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers before November 30. Accumulating Clubcard points is possible by shopping at Tesco stores, online, purchasing fuel at Tesco petrol stations, using Tesco Mobile, a Tesco credit card, or a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
To receive a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50, a minimum of 150 points is required. Currently, more than 24 million UK households hold a Tesco Clubcard.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of redeeming Clubcard vouchers, noting the significant value of expiring vouchers this quarter. Utilizing the vouchers for Tesco Tuesdays could equate to 6.6 million cinema tickets at Cineworld or £49.5 million worth of reward codes at PizzaExpress.
