Sky has revealed an exciting new update that is sure to capture attention. The television provider is set to launch a compelling subscription plan that combines several of the most popular streaming services globally, all at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, both new and existing customers will gain access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, scheduled for release next month.
According to Sky, this bundled offer provides significant value for money, as it includes approximately £20 worth of streaming apps for a lower cost. Considering Sky’s current basic plan is priced at £15 per month, the additional content effectively comes at just an extra £9.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy access to over 130 channels, featuring content from Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.
As an added bonus, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into their planner, enabling them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to open the Disney+ app.
Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can easily transfer their current plan, whether Standard or Premium, while retaining their profiles and viewing history.
Sky has assured that all supported apps will be conveniently accessible directly from the homepage, with fully integrated content. This functionality allows users to search for shows and films using voice commands and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be accessible across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed that this update signifies a “new era” for Sky and NOW, as it brings together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. She emphasized the integrated viewing experience and unbeatable value customers will receive, with HBO Max being included at no additional charge for NOW Entertainment subscribers.
Sky’s strategic focus on innovation aims to simplify the process for viewers to enjoy premium entertainment conveniently in one place.
