“NYPD Detective in Tactical Gear Suspended After False Trump Security Claim”

National"NYPD Detective in Tactical Gear Suspended After False Trump Security Claim"

A detective from the New York Police Department (NYPD) made headlines for attending the Ryder Cup golf tournament decked out in full tactical gear, asserting he was providing security for President Trump while supposedly on sick leave.

The detective, identified as Melvin Eng, is now confronting administrative charges for allegedly taking advantage of services. Reports suggest that Eng’s ruse at the golf event was exposed when he accidentally dropped his gun magazine in front of legitimate security personnel, as revealed by law enforcement sources and NYPD documentation.

Expressing discontent over the situation, a seasoned officer conveyed to the New York Post, “You’re out sick, so what are you doing at the Ryder Cup? That’s not acceptable. It’s theft of services because he entered for free and falsely claimed he was working for Donald Trump.”

Eng, aged 46 and also serving as the president of the NYPD Asian Jade Society, reportedly arrived at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, on Friday dressed in full tactical attire, asserting he was part of the president’s security detail.

His fabricated story granted him access to the prestigious tournament until his mishap led to his swift removal. Following the incident, Eng was suspended on Monday according to official NYPD records.

Questions arose among police insiders about potential risks, with one stating, “What if he intended to cause harm? He made it in with his weapon, bypassing the Secret Service and state police.”

When reached by a reporter, Eng abruptly ended the call with a brief, “I’m sorry, I gotta go.”

On a related note, the US President, a golf enthusiast from the city, attended the Ryder Cup on Friday, arriving via Air Force One to support the American team.

As the competition unfolded, Europe secured a significant lead by the end of Saturday’s play, with Rory McIlroy and the European team needing only three points from Sunday’s matches to clinch victory.

Amid intense competition, the USA team, led by Keegan Bradley, staged a spirited comeback, setting the stage for a tense final session where Europe ultimately emerged victorious despite the hostile crowd at Bethpage Black.

In a moment of celebration, Team Europe players crafted a video message for Trump, playfully taunting him with chants of “Are you watching, Donald Trump?” as they held up the Ryder Cup trophy.

Trump, responding via Truth Social, acknowledged the victory with a congratulatory message, saying, “Yes I’m watching. Congratulations.”
