National"Netflix Series 'Monster: The Ed Gein Story' Unveils Twisted Tale"

A recently released Netflix series delves into the disturbing story of Ed Gein, known as the ‘most grotesque killer in US history,’ leaving true crime enthusiasts shocked. “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” directed by Ryan Murphy, introduces viewers to the infamous killer who inspired fictional characters like Buffalo Bill from “The Silence Of The Lambs.”

Portrayed by Charlie Hunnam, Ed Gein spent a decade engaging in appalling acts like grave-robbing for necrophilia and body part collection near his secluded residence in Plainfield, Wisconsin. Additionally, he murdered and dismembered two women, including Bernice Worden, whose decapitated body was found in Gein’s home by authorities.

Gein’s twisted actions were believed to be linked to an obsession with his late mother, Augusta. He expressed a desire for a “woman suit” resembling his mother, aiming to embody her by wearing her skin, as revealed during his confession to authorities.

Despite suspicions surrounding the disappearances of other individuals, Gein passed lie detector tests for those cases. After being diagnosed with schizophrenia, he was deemed unfit for trial but later faced court proceedings and was ultimately found guilty but legally insane. Gein spent the remainder of his life in a psychiatric institution, passing away from lung cancer at the age of 77 in 1984.
