Yellow weather warnings for rain are in effect for western Scotland and Northern Ireland, with potential transport disruptions and flooding expected. Additionally, wind warnings are in place for the same regions, extending into Sunday.
The inclement weather is projected to move southward, covering the entire UK, including southern England, with yellow warnings for Saturday. More severe amber wind warnings have been issued for Northern Ireland and western Scotland, highlighting the potential danger of “damaging winds” and flying debris.
Some schools in Northern Ireland have closed early for safety reasons, with the storm set to impact the north and west of Scotland the most.
