The dog, identified as an American Bulldog, inflicted injuries consistent with a dog attack, leading investigators to suspect the dog was responsible for the man’s death.
Following the incident, the dog was taken into custody for evaluation at an animal shelter. The emergency response to aid the man was hindered by the dog’s protective behavior.
