A jovial 31-year-old bartender named Matteo Leone was tragically discovered deceased in his London residence, believed to have succumbed to a heart attack. His flatmates found him unconscious and unresponsive during the early hours of Sunday, January 4. Despite immediate emergency response, Matteo could not be revived, with initial assessments pointing towards a possible heart attack as the cause of his untimely passing.
Matteo was known to be content in his role as a bartender in London, as captured in a photograph displaying his cheerful demeanor while concocting drinks at Shoreditch’s Looking Glass Cocktail Club. Originally hailing from Canosa di Puglia, near Bari, Matteo had relocated to London post his studies to embrace urban life and enhance his English skills. His roots were in Castiglione Messer Raimondo, close to Pescara.
His grief-stricken father, Graziano Leone, a police station chief in Pescara, rushed to London upon hearing the news. Matteo is survived by his mother and three siblings, and a memorial was conducted in his honor at Shoreditch Park the previous evening. Plans are underway to repatriate his remains to Italy.
A close friend named Mirko expressed his sorrow, reminiscing about Matteo’s vibrant presence and infectious smile, lamenting his departure. The message conveyed fond memories of Matteo’s joyful antics around the house, leaving an indelible imprint on those who knew him.
“Safe travels, Matté.”
