A male infant is currently hospitalized in critical condition following his discovery in a precarious state, leading to the apprehension of a 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man by the authorities.

The baby was swiftly transported to a medical facility after emergency responders responded to the scene in Cambridgeshire, where he was found in a condition deemed to be life-threatening.

Medical personnel administered immediate care to the infant on-site before transferring him to the hospital.

An emergency was reported at 11 a.m. on January 3, prompting law enforcement to swiftly arrive at the location in St John’s Chase, March.

Police detained the man and woman on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm (GBH) and possessing drugs classified under Class B/C.

A representative from Cambridgeshire Police disclosed, “We received a call from the ambulance service around 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, regarding a baby boy being attended to by medical staff in a severe, life-threatening condition at St John’s Chase, March.”

The spokesperson further stated, “The infant was conveyed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. A 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both residents of March, have been apprehended on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of Class B/C drugs.”
