A 47-year-old dancer and choreographer from Dancing With The Stars was discovered deceased in his residence in Curitiba. Léo Blanco was found unresponsive in his apartment on Friday, and the cause of death remains unknown.
Léo, who hailed from Cascavel in southern Brazil, was a participant on the Brazilian rendition of Dancing With The Stars, known as Dança dos Famosos, akin to the popular show Strictly Come Dancing.
Mariana Xavier, an actress who partnered with Léo in 2017, expressed her sorrow on social media, praising him as a remarkable mentor and dance partner who played a pivotal role in realizing their shared dream.
Having nurtured his passion for dance since a young age, Léo also worked as a personal trainer. His dance journey began during his university years, where he spearheaded two dance groups. He achieved widespread recognition upon joining Dança dos Famosos.
Apart from Mariana, Léo also danced with singer Luisa Sonza and later with Lucy Ramos, with whom he secured a victory in 2020. Subsequently, he was replaced by fellow dancer Reginaldo Sama.
Following his passing, fans and acquaintances flooded his social media platforms with heartfelt tributes, reminiscing about his amiable nature and lamenting his sudden departure.
Known for sharing glimpses of his well-toned physique and fitness routine on social media, Léo often delighted his followers with shirtless snapshots and updates from his gym workouts and recent travels, including a trip to Rio De Janeiro.
