British Woman’s US Fetish Website Encounter Ends in Tragedy

UpdatesBritish Woman's US Fetish Website Encounter Ends in Tragedy

An investigation into the final moments of a British woman who traveled to the US to meet a man she connected with on a fetish website has been revealed through an autopsy report.

Sonia Exelby, 32, from Portsmouth, Hampshire, was discovered in a wooded area in Marion Oaks, Florida, after missing her return flight to the UK on October 13. Authorities found evidence on Sonia’s computer suggesting she had suicidal intentions and had traveled to the US for potential sexual abuse, torture, and murder.

Following the recovery of Sonia’s remains from a shallow grave, Dwain Hall was arrested by Florida police on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. The autopsy conducted by the Marion County Medical Examiner unveiled that Sonia had been stabbed four times, sustaining injuries to several vital organs, ultimately leading to her death. The autopsy report confirmed that Sonia’s death was classified as a homicide.

Details from the autopsy indicated that Sonia had suffered stab wounds ranging from four to seven inches deep and had a distinctive “V”-shaped abrasion. Additionally, toxicology results revealed the likely presence of cannabinoids and a blood alcohol concentration of 0.064 in Sonia’s system.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, a blood alcohol concentration within the range found in Sonia’s body could result in decreased alertness and impaired judgment. Documents shared with The Mirror indicated that Hall was apprehended after attempting to use Sonia’s credit cards and later admitted to driving her to an Airbnb, following discussions about bondage, suicide, and her desire to be killed.

Hall’s attorney, Julia Williamson, stated that he has pleaded not guilty and will appear in court in February. She mentioned that Hall intends to remain silent regarding the allegations at this time and expressed condolences to Sonia’s family and friends for their tragic loss.
