A British man, aged 20, passed away in Dubai when a packet of cocaine he had ingested ruptured in his stomach. Jensen Westhead, 20, consumed several packages of the Class A substance at a hotel in Manchester on December 2. Subsequently, he flew from Manchester Airport to Dubai, arriving on December 3.

Tragically, one of the packets burst in his stomach, causing an overdose. Jensen, hailing from Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, was discovered deceased at the Hotel Avalon in Dubai on December 4. Lancashire Police conducted a thorough investigation leading to the charging of four individuals in connection with Jensen’s untimely death.

Rebecca Hatch, 43, Glenn Hatch, 50, Alexander Tofton, 32, and Steven Stephenson, 36, face charges of conspiring to unlawfully circumvent the export ban on a Class A drug between November 21 and December 4 last year. Additionally, Stephenson has been charged with involvement in the distribution of cocaine.

The accused are scheduled to appear before Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on October 31. Lancashire Police released a statement announcing the charges against the four individuals in relation to the drug-related incident in Dubai that led to Jensen Westhead’s demise.
