Reports suggest that Apple may unveil an iPhone with a book-like folding design in September at Apple Park in Cupertino. Tech analyst Mark Gurman, known for accurate predictions in the past, appears confident about the arrival of a foldable iPhone, despite potential delays due to technical challenges.
Gurman stated, “Apple Inc.’s first foldable phone is expected to launch during the regular iPhone release season later this year, dismissing concerns of significant manufacturing obstacles. However, with production not yet fully underway, the timeline remains uncertain.”
Adding to the speculation, leaked renders by tech expert Sonny Dickson showcase the potential design of the new iPhone, featuring a front screen that unfolds to reveal a larger display akin to an iPad.
The rumored device may be named the iPhone Ultra, with early concepts suggesting a compact wallet-style design in comparison to its competitors, making it more pocket-friendly. Speculations also hint at a new A20 processor for power efficiency and a dual-lens camera setup integrated into the rear casing.
If the iPhone Ultra indeed debuts this year, it is anticipated to come with a premium price tag. Apple’s current Pro Max models can exceed £1,600, while Samsung’s latest Z Fold series can approach £2,000 with additional storage options.
