“Khamenei Accuses Trump of Inciting ‘American Sedition'”

International"Khamenei Accuses Trump of Inciting 'American Sedition'"

Iran’s supreme leader has criticized Donald Trump for the harm and insults he directed towards the Iranian nation during recent anti-government protests. Trump had previously threatened action against Iran if protesters were killed but has now taken a more conciliatory stance, claiming executions have not occurred.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his first post since January 12, accused protesters of being influenced by foreign forces, including Trump and other “foreign terrorists.” He labeled the protests as an “American sedition” aimed at undermining Iran.

Khamenei blamed Israel and the US for significant damages and alleged deaths during the unrest. Trump, on the other hand, warned Iran of potential action and expressed gratitude for Iran’s decision not to execute hundreds of individuals.

Despite initial considerations of military action, Trump was advised against striking Iran by officials who doubted the effectiveness of such a move. Regional allies and advisors cautioned against destabilizing the region and the global economy through military intervention.

Protests in Tehran have subsided, with normalcy returning to daily life. However, an internet blackout persists. Reports by the Human Rights Activists News Agency indicate a death toll of 3,090 from the protests, marking one of the deadliest periods of unrest in Iran in decades.
