“Queen Elizabeth Calls Trump ‘Very Rude’ in New Biography”

National"Queen Elizabeth Calls Trump 'Very Rude' in New Biography"

Queen Elizabeth reportedly described Donald Trump as “very rude” in a 2024 biography that delves into her interactions with world leaders and her personal opinions of them. The book, titled A Voyage Around the Queen by author Craig Brown, reveals the Queen’s candid remarks made during a private lunch following one of Trump’s visits to the UK. Brown also noted the Queen’s discomfort with Trump constantly looking over her shoulder, seemingly disinterested in their conversation.

Additionally, the biography touches on the Queen’s views regarding Trump’s marriage, suggesting she believed there might be an unconventional arrangement between him and Melania. This insight into the Queen’s sentiments towards Trump is compared to her experiences hosting other controversial figures throughout her reign.

Despite the initial tensions during Trump’s first meeting with the Queen in 2018, which included protocol breaches and delays, subsequent interactions between the two appeared more amicable. Trump’s visit for a complete state visit the following year was generally well-received, except for a minor incident where he breached royal protocol by touching the Queen’s back during a toast.

Buckingham Palace has not officially responded to the claims made in Brown’s book, maintaining that Trump was a respectful guest during his visits. Following the Queen’s passing, Trump expressed his deep sadness and admiration for her, emphasizing her unique character.

With King Charles now leading the Royal Family, relations between Trump and the monarchy seem to have maintained a cordial tone. During a US state visit in September 2025, King Charles praised Trump’s efforts in resolving global conflicts, highlighting the importance of the US-UK relationship.
