“Minneapolis Nurse Fatally Shot by ICE Agents Sparks Outrage”

National"Minneapolis Nurse Fatally Shot by ICE Agents Sparks Outrage"

A man in Minneapolis was fatally shot by ICE agents during protests against the Trump administration’s immigration policies. The victim, identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse and US citizen, was allegedly armed according to the Department of Homeland Security. Details surrounding the shooting are still unclear.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz condemned the shooting and urged President Donald Trump to remove federal agents from Minnesota following this incident and the recent shooting of Renee Nicole Good by ICE agents on January 7.

The family of Alex Pretti released a statement blaming the Trump administration for spreading false information and asserting that he was a good person. Witnesses reported that federal agents shot Pretti multiple times, with a doctor on the scene detailing the events.

A lawsuit mentioned that ICE agents pointed guns at Pretti before fatally shooting him, despite the doctor’s attempts to provide medical assistance being initially hindered by the agents. The doctor criticized the agents for not administering proper aid and instead focusing on counting the bullet wounds.

A federal judge in Minnesota has issued an order preventing the Trump administration from tampering with evidence related to the shooting. Meanwhile, Pretti’s family and acquaintances have spoken out, emphasizing his positive character and professional demeanor, casting doubt on the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

New footage captured Pretti in a conversation with ICE agents just moments before the fatal shooting, showing a non-confrontational gesture from Pretti. The situation escalated into a physical altercation before shots were fired, leaving many questions unanswered.

Protests erupted at the shooting site, with Minneapolis officials denouncing the incident and demanding accountability from federal agencies. The shooting marks the third such incident involving federal agents in Minneapolis this month, prompting calls for increased oversight and transparency in law enforcement actions.
