National"Minneapolis Shooting Sparks Outrage and Calls for Justice"

A recent tragic incident involving Minneapolis shooting by federal immigration agents has sparked outrage after a video capturing the event circulated online. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Alex Pretti, was shot and killed by federal agents during an enforcement operation in the city’s south side.

This shooting comes amidst ongoing protests following the death of Renée Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent on January 7. The video footage shows federal officers engaging with the victim, ultimately leading to multiple shots being fired. Witnesses at the scene expressed shock and disbelief at the violent confrontation.

The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities stated that the victim was armed and that agents resorted to lethal force in self-defense when he resisted disarmament. The proximity of this incident to the previous shooting of Renée Good has fueled community anger and renewed calls for federal accountability.

Protesters gathered at the scene, confronting law enforcement and demanding justice. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz condemned the shooting as “sickening” and called for a halt to the increased presence of immigration agents in the city. Civil liberties advocates are pushing for independent investigations and accountability in light of these troubling events.

The US Department of Homeland Security has announced a review of the incident and pledged to provide further details as they become available.
