Now is a great opportunity to acquire a new iPhone at reduced prices. Sky Mobile, for instance, is currently providing the iPhone 16e for just £17 per month with a £12 upfront fee. While this cost does not cover calls, texts, or data, Sky’s SIM deals start at £3, bringing the total monthly cost down to as low as £20.

This offer is not exclusive to Sky Mobile, as other retailers like Mobiles.co.uk are also selling the iPhone 16e for under £23.

For those unfamiliar, the iPhone 16e boasts a 6.1-inch display, an A18 processor, and a single rear camera. It also features wireless charging, Face ID security, and a design encased in durable glass.

Apple has recently announced the upcoming release of the iPhone 17e, a significant upgrade to the 16e, set to hit stores next week. The 17e will introduce an enhanced A19 processor, a stronger Ceramic Shield design, and a new Pink color option. Additionally, it will include MagSafe compatibility for easy attachment to charging docks and accessories like wallets.

Moreover, the iPhone 17e will come with 256GB of internal storage, double the capacity of the 16e. Surprisingly, despite the enhanced features, Apple has maintained the starting price at £599 for 2026.

If considering a contract purchase, Sky is offering the iPhone 17e starting from £19 per month, just £2 more than the 16e.

Ultimately, consumers now face a tough decision: opt for the budget-friendly iPhone 16e or invest slightly more for the advanced features of the 17e. In our view, the additional functionalities, particularly MagSafe and increased storage, justify the slight price increase.
