The most sought-after toys for the upcoming Christmas season have been revealed, with Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels making the list of must-have items. Industry experts and retailers have identified these toys as potential top sellers for the 2025 DreamToys list.
The Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, featuring more than 20 interactive sounds and accessories like a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket, is expected to be a hit. Additionally, the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex allows kids to hatch their own dinosaur from an egg shell and engage in playtime.
Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are anticipated to see increased sales following the release of the franchise’s final movie. The 75th anniversary of Formula 1 is commemorated with Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit toys, as well as the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC.
Other popular items include Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon collectibles. Building sets, particularly Lego’s Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship, have seen significant growth in the market.
The UK toy industry is currently valued at £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales expected to contribute 23% of the total annual sales. Parents’ spending on children’s gifts has increased by 12% year on year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, according to The Insights Family.
Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, noted the diverse range of toys on this year’s list, aimed at inspiring creativity and imagination. Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, highlighted the positive growth in the toy market after a period of stagnation, signaling a promising outlook for manufacturers and retailers as the holiday season approaches.
