Fearful Witness of “M25 Killer” Lives in Hiding

UpdatesFearful Witness of "M25 Killer" Lives in Hiding

A woman who aided in the capture of a road rage killer almost three decades ago has been living in constant fear since the detective responsible for the arrest passed away. Former Detective Superintendent Nick Biddiss, who died at 79, located Kenneth Noye in Spain after he fatally stabbed electrician Stephen Cameron in 1996. Danielle Cable, who witnessed the attack on her boyfriend at just 17, has been hiding since then.

Despite her mother’s discouragement, Cable assisted Biddiss in apprehending Noye, also known as the “M25 killer.” She testified against him in court and now lives under a different identity with limited contact with her family. Biddiss mentioned that Cable remains in witness protection due to the ongoing threat posed by Noye.

Noye, who was portrayed in a TV drama as a charismatic figure, was convicted in 2000 for Cameron’s murder. Biddiss, who was dedicated to seeking justice for victims, expressed disapproval of glamorizing criminals in media portrayals. He took extraordinary measures to track down Noye in Spain, involving Cable in the undercover operation to identify him.

Following Noye’s conviction, he was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison and was released in 2019. Biddiss, who recently passed away, had been caring for his wife, Brenda, who had dementia. His family includes two sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren.
