Tech"Apple Reports Record-Breaking Year for Services Expansion"

Apple’s reputation for top-notch MacBook laptops, iPad tablets, and iconic iPhones is well-known, but its services are also gaining significant traction. Recently, the tech giant revealed a ‘record-breaking’ year as users increasingly gravitate towards its audio, TV streaming, and news platforms.

In 2025, Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android, experienced its most successful year yet, setting new records in terms of listenership and new subscribers. The service introduced several updates, including features like Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, providing users with a personalized DJ experience.

Similarly, Apple TV witnessed a surge in engagement, with statistics from December indicating a 36% increase in user viewing time for shows like Slow Horses and The Studio compared to the previous year. Apple TV expanded its content library with additional shows and movies, such as the F1 film starring Brad Pitt and the highly-rated drama Pluribus.

The App Store also had a strong year, boasting over 850 million average weekly users globally. During the holiday season, the store experienced a peak in visitor numbers between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, resulting in record customer spending on digital goods and services.

Apple Podcasts also saw a boost, achieving record listenership, plays, and subscriber numbers throughout the year. Apple’s services further expanded with enhancements to Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade, including broader availability and an increased selection of games.

Moreover, Apple introduced improvements to its Share Item Location feature in Find My, collaborating with 27 additional airlines to enhance luggage tracking and reduce lost items. Apple Maps expanded its Detailed City Experience to include new locations like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, featuring detailed 3D landmarks like the custom F1 Monaco Grand Prix experience.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, summarized the year by highlighting the company’s global growth, innovation, and commitment to enhancing user experiences. Cue emphasized the enthusiasm of customers engaging with various Apple services, from entertainment to daily essentials like Apple Pay and iCloud, which contributed to the impressive performance in 2025.
