“Iran-U.S. Conflict Escalates, Ceasefire at Risk”

Updates"Iran-U.S. Conflict Escalates, Ceasefire at Risk"

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) advisor highlighted a perceived weakness in the American military following the U.S. and Israel’s attack on Iran earlier this year. Talks to end the conflict have hit a standstill as an interim deal between the U.S. and Iran is set to expire soon. Despite ongoing negotiations, IRGC’s Brig.-Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi expressed confidence in Iran’s current and future success in the war.

The recent ceasefire collapse led to a series of strikes between the U.S. and Iran before a temporary halt. Naqdi emphasized the importance of gaining experience through the prolonged conflict, noting a shift in perceptions about the American military’s strength.

President Donald Trump reaffirmed U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing war in the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, Pakistan continues to facilitate peace talks between Iran and the U.S., with efforts to extend the June ceasefire agreement deadline. The negotiations have stalled over disagreements regarding the vital shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz.

The conflict has resulted in numerous casualties, with Iran targeting U.S. assets and infrastructure in several countries. Both sides have engaged in heightened rhetoric, with Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and Trump’s recent call for compensation for past actions adding to the tensions in the region.
