NASA Debunks Gravity Loss Theory on August 12

InternationalNASA Debunks Gravity Loss Theory on August 12

NASA has officially refuted a concerning theory suggesting that the Earth would experience a loss of gravity on August 12 at 14:33GMT for exactly seven seconds, as claimed by conspiracy theorists referring to a document named ‘Project Anchor’ allegedly from NASA in November 2024.

The theory gained traction on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, with proponents warning of potential catastrophic consequences, including an estimated “60 million deaths” from people falling to the ground. Despite claims made by users like @mr_danya_of on Instagram, stating that NASA was aware of the impending event but withholding information, NASA has clarified that such a scenario is scientifically unfounded.

According to NASA, the Earth’s gravity is solely determined by its mass, and for gravity to be lost, a change in the Earth’s mass would be necessary, involving alterations to the Earth system’s overall mass composition.

In a separate vein, predictions for 2026 have sparked interest, with individuals turning to Nostradamus for insights into future events, despite the lack of specific prophecies for this year. Interpretations of Nostradamus’ writings have led to speculations about potential significant events, such as the assassination of a prominent figure or the outbreak of war, although these interpretations remain unconfirmed, particularly in relation to the South China Sea region.
